Karissa was ready to go this morning with all of the valentines that she had made for her classmates. She wrote their names all by herself! Preschool is so awesome :)

House pictures and Oliver crawling
Here are some pictures of the house. It's nothing fancy yet, but we're working on it.
Here is the messy kitchen. Forrest said he did this face because he knows I hate it when he raises his eyebrows in pictures.
The living room.
Another view of the living room looking into the kitchen.
The front porch, this is pretty much the catch-all room right now.
As promised, a video of Oliver crawling. This was actually taken a few days ago, he has gotten much better since then, but I want to show his progress, too. :)

My diaper is so chic.
When it's a #2, I look like #1.
The coolest you'll look pooping your pants.
Loved the commercial for these when they came out. Hope this gave you a laugh.

I almost forgot!
I made granola last Friday night and it was a very easy thing to do. Had I known all these years how easy it is to make your own granola, well, it would be a staple already in our house like it is going to be from now on. It did not get as crunchy as I would have liked, because the igniter went out on our oven during the baking part of the recipe. But it was still delicious. It made a lot, and I was worried that it would be too much to have around and would go bad before it got eaten, but Forrest finished the last of it this morning and I would have already made more but our oven is still not fixed. Waiting on a replacement part and it will hopefully be as good as new by Monday. To make a long story short, I love to make and have granola around. It feels healthier than most anything else I might get a craving for. It is my new addiction, especially over yogurt.

How things are with us
Well, at this moment, Oliver is taking a much-needed nap. Karissa is practicing her name in the kitchen, and I am here at the computer. The house is good. We need to paint our room and then we will be DONE! After that I don't plan on looking at a can of paint for a very, very long time. Forrest is on his way home now. He almost didn't make it to work this morning, the snow was very thick and they hadn't plowed our road yet. I'm so glad I didn't have to go anywhere today. Oliver has started crawling. Yay! He can go a few inches before plopping back down on his stomach. He is so proud of himself too. You can see it in his face when he is up on his hands and knees and starts rocking back and forth with this big, goofy grin on is face :) I really hope we get a replacement camera soon. I will post pictures as soon as I can.
I hope all of you out there are well and safe and warm.

Homemade Granola
I have been thinking about granola lately. I searched online and found this recipe. Definitely going to try this out. Hopefully it's as good as it appears to be. I will let you know.

Long time no see
It feels like it has been forever since I have been on the blog. This is mostly to do with the fact that I have been painting non-stop in the new house and trying to get everything in order. Also we still do not have a working camera, but hopefully that will change soon.
I wanted to write and briefly say that the house is wonderful, we are all loving it. Forrest is happy to have so many handy-man projects like putting up curtains and changing light fixtures and new drawer pulls in the kitchen. Karissa loves having her own room and living in a house with a bathtub:) Oliver will appreciate it more when he is older. I just love having more space!
We will post pictures as soon as we can. Thanks to all of our family and friends for your support!
